The websites listed below provide data, cases, commentary, articles, and organized libraries of information. They are broader than construction risk management, but this subject can be found in many of the sites.

  • Abacus Construction Index,  Abacus Construction Index,  is a directory of 2,000 recommended websites and online documents for UK construction professionals. This is a project which I started after retiring in 2000 as Director General of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
  • Americans with Disabilities Act by the U.S. Department of Justice – ADA statute and regulations are available in full-text, including Standards for Accessible Design, and new and proposed regulations.
  • Army Corps of Engineers – U.S. Code provisions, regulations and court decisions pertaining to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers regulatory program.  The full text of USACE regulations, circulars, manuals and other documents is provided.
  • Army – Army acquisition laws and regulations are provided in full-text.
  • Avvo – A directory used for finding lawyers by area of expertise, location and other important filters.
  • ConstructionWebLinks.com – by Thelen Reid law firm.  This is a huge, well-organized site, complete with links to many websites with information relevant to construction projects. (If this site had existed when I began ConstructionRisk.com, I’m not sure I would have gone to the effort of creating my site.)
  • Findlaw (search fed.resources and sites)
    FindLaw provides a basic search engine to legal information and sites.  It organizes information by subject; law schools; organizations; directories; laws (cases and codes); federal, state and international resources; news, and general reference materials.
  • National Labor Relations Board – National Labor Relations Act; NLRB Federal Register notices, General Counsel Memorandums and Operations-Management Memorandums are provided in full-text.  Also provides Weekly Summary of NLRB Cases decided since 1996, including links to full-text decisions; Decisions and Orders of the NLRB are searchable by keyword or by volume number. Rules and Regulations are also searchable.
  • U.S. Code by Cornell University –  U.S. Code presented in a searchable format that permits searches by title, popular name, or full-text.
  • U.S. Constitution by Library of Congress –  The full text of the Constitution is provided on this site by the Library of Congress.  It is searchable by keyword.
  • Washburn University School of Law – Kansas
    Indexed list of links to over 100 topics including state and federal courts, and various research and referenced information.  Easily searched for full-text state and federal laws as well as court decisions.
